The Chashme Shahi is located within the jurisdiction of Srinagar city, 14 kilometres (9 mi) in the northeast from the Srinagar Airport. It is adjacent to Rajbhawan (Governor’s house). The garden is connected by the Boulevard Road which passes along the banks of the Dal lake. There are many hotels and restaurants available for boarding and lodging near the garden. The garden remains open for tourists from March to November. The best time to visit the garden is from April to October. The garden is at full bloom during May and June.
Popularly known as the ‘Garden of Bliss’, the Nishat Garden or Nishat Bagh, is the second-largest Mughal Garden in Kashmir Valley, after Shalimar Bagh and is one of the most popular tourist attractions in Srinagar.The Nishat Bagh is a 12 terraced garden .Even though the layout of Nishat Bagh was based on the design of the Persian gardens, the actual landscaping was done in accordance with the terrain and water patterns unique to Kashmir Valley. Doodhpathri (translation; Valley of Milk) is a tourist destination and a hill station in the Indian administered union territory of Jammu and Kashmir. It is located in Budgam district of Jammu and Kashmir. Situated at an altitude of 2,730 metres (8,960 ft) from sea level, it is located at a distance of 42 km (26 mi) from union territory‘s summer capital Srinagar and 22 km (14 mi) from district headquarters Budgam.Hearing this milk at once changed its state to water and the meadow got its name Doodpathri. The water which is at present flowing through the meadows has a milky appearance from the distance and remains very cold throughout the year. The lush green grasses over the vast meadows and silver shining streams running over the large stones further increase its beauty. Doodhpathri is sloping grassy landscapes with a diversity of multicolored flowers up to Chang. The famous Tosamaidan lies in the west of Doodpathri.
This charming forested hill is the home for a Hindu temple dedicated to Lord Shiva. There are two hundred and fifty steps; the ascent of which will lead you to this ancient temple built in the ninth century A.D. This beautiful temple is made of grey stone blocks and is one of the oldest designs of the country. The best part about this temple is that electronic devices are strictly not allowed there and should be deposited with the military personnel before you climb the steps.
