1.Dal lake

Dal Lake is a top tourist destination in Srinagar and is the second largest lake in the state of Jammu & Kashmir. Due to its beauty and serenity, it is known as the โ€œJewel in the Crownโ€ of Kashmir. It is spread over 18-22 km sq and offers various tourist destinations, shops and markets.

The vibrant Boulevard Road is the heart of Srinagar. Flanked by the Dal Lake on one side and bustling market on the other, it is a beautiful stretch to walk about in evenings. 3Gardens of srinagar

A.chashma Shahi

The Chashme Shahi is located within the jurisdiction of Srinagar city, 14 kilometres (9 mi) in the northeast from the Srinagar Airport. It is adjacent to Rajbhawan (Governorโ€™s house). The garden is connected by the Boulevard Road which passes along the banks of the Dal lake. There are many hotels and restaurants available for boarding and lodging near the garden. The garden remains open for tourists from March to November. The best time to visit the garden is from April to October. The garden is at full bloom during May and June.

B.Nishat bagh


Popularly known as the โ€˜Garden of Blissโ€™, the Nishat Garden or Nishat Bagh, is the second-largest Mughal Garden in Kashmir Valley, after Shalimar Bagh and is one of the most popular tourist attractions in Srinagar.The Nishat Bagh is a 12 terraced garden .Even though the layout of Nishat Bagh was based on the design of the Persian gardens, the actual landscaping was done in accordance with the terrain and water patterns unique to Kashmir Valley. A stream of standstill water divides the garden into two halves, and each level of the garden is marked by a raised embankment which has its collection of kaleidoscopic flower.

whenever I used to visit pari mahal it takes me to the fantasy world of fairies and fictional characters because of its name and exquisite structure which reminds me of old architectures.

Pari Mahal, also known as The Palace of Fairies, is a seven-terraced garden located at the top of Zabarwan mountain range, overlooking the city of Srinagar and the south-west of Dal Lake in the union territory of Jammu and Kashmir. It is an example of Islamic architecture and patronage of art during the reign of the then Mughal Emperor khan Shah JahanThe Pari Mahal has also been used as a top-secret interrogation centre and as a base for high-level bureaucrats.[1]

The word Shalimar in Sanskrit means ‘abode of love’. The king, on his visits to a local saint by the name Sukarma Swami at Harwan, used to stop at this cottage. Over the years, the cottage fell into ruins and later could not be located. Doodhpathri (translation; Valley of Milk) is a tourist destination and a hill station in the Indian administered union territory of Jammu and Kashmir. It is located in Budgam district of Jammu and Kashmir. Situated at an altitude of 2,730 metres (8,960 ft) from sea level, it is located at a distance of 42 km (26 mi) from union territory‘s summer capital Srinagar and 22 km (14 mi) from district headquarters Budgam.Hearing this milk at once changed its state to water and the meadow got its name Doodpathri. The water which is at present flowing through the meadows has a milky appearance from the distance and remains very cold throughout the year. The lush green grasses over the vast meadows and silver shining streams running over the large stones further increase its beauty. Doodhpathri is sloping grassy landscapes with a diversity of multicolored flowers up to Chang. The famous Tosamaidan lies in the west of Doodpathri.

6.Shankaracharya hills

This charming forested hill is the home for a Hindu temple dedicated to Lord Shiva. There are two hundred and fifty steps; the ascent of which will lead you to this ancient temple built in the ninth century A.D. This beautiful temple is made of grey stone blocks and is one of the oldest designs of the country. The best part about this temple is that electronic devices are strictly not allowed there and should be deposited with the military personnel before you climb the steps. This means that you can truly disconnect! The Shankaracharya Hill is regarded as one of the best attractions in Kashmir. This hill offers a pleasant panoramic view over the entire Srinagar!

A major tourist attraction of district anantnage is the place  Verinag Spring, for which this place is named. There is an octagonal stone basin at Verinag Spring and an arcade surrounding it which were built by Mughal emperor Jahangir in 1620 A.D.
